Great and friendly staff

"I stayed at the hotel Tibet both before and after a trekking tour in Nepal, and found it very good! The staff is super friendly and extremely helpful! We even were allowed to stay in our rooms longer than the usual 12 o’clock on our departure day without any extra fee. Both my rooms were clean, spacious and equipped with aircon, coffee and tea and a fridge. Breakfast was very good and varied, and the rooftop bar served great cocktails. I couldn’t recommend this place more!"

"I have always loved the Hotel Tibet Intl., but now even more so! The new upstairs dining area is amazing. Sleek, modern, and with amazing views of Boudha Stupa (which is a short walk away), the city, and the mountains. The new first floor coffee shop is also super crisp and cool. The rooms and lobby are traditional Tibetan. Rich, warm and beautiful. Most of all, the safe are very friendly, helpful, and speak greats English. See you again next time Hotel Tibet!!!"

“New Year Visit”

An impromptu visit for New Year with my Mum. Had great weather and excellent experiences. The Tibet International was welcoming, the team were accommodating, friendly and informative. The restaurant was excellent with choices of European, Asian and local specialities. We love'd the 7th Heaven Bar ( albeit a bit chilly in the evening). Access to Thamel Square, 'Monkey Temple' Katmandu Durbar etc are approximately 20 min taxi journey but Boudhanath Stupa is just across the road.

“Good location”

We spent three nights at this hotel during our tour of Nepal and Bhutan. The hotel is in a good location and the rooms are nicely decorated. We stayed in a standard room and found it rather cramped for two people, but location and friendly staff compensated for this.

“A welcome oasis in a hectic city”

We only spent one night here but it was incredible! The whole building is like a piece of beautiful art. We had a spacious and comfortable junior suite. It was beautifully decorated. The bed and pillows are fantastic. I loved having a bath tub. The staff were all very cheerful and accommodating. I highly recommend this hotel.

“Great hotel and great service”

The hotel is super clean and great service as soon as you walk in. It is walking distance from the stupa and its great because as a tourist is the place you could go to have a cafe, buy things or just walk. The hotel has a cafe illy inside and a great terrace.

We spent three nights in the Hotel Tibet. Wonderful decor and lovely friendly polite staff. Very comfortable and clean. A longer stay would have been a pleasure. The breakfast was very good.There were many small eateries and even good coffee near by.

Our 2-night stay at this hotel was lovely. Though the address of the hotel is right on a busy street, it is tucked away and very quiet. Our room was very spacious. The staff were professional, very attentive and kind. Nice breakfast spread. I would definitely recommend this hotel for travellers who want a more European/North American lodging and dining experience.

“Fantastic Kathmandu hotel!!”

In Sept 2019, a close friend & I (50-somethings) decided to tackle the EBC base camp trek, but first spend a few days exploring Kathmandu. Hotel Tibet International was a phenomenal place to stay, a true oasis from the bustle of the city, very short walk to the Boudha Stupa, and close to the airport which was a blessing because we spent 4 days trying to get our flight to Lukla which was cancelled day after day due to weather. The staff at the hotel are terrific - helpful, gracious, accommodating. They found us rooms each time we returned from the airport defeated by the weather. The top floor restaurant has unbeatable views of the Stupa, really good food and wine selection. I would without doubt stay here again. Oh, and the rooms are gorgeous, clean & very comfortable. So happy we chose to stay here rather than the bustling Thamel, which we visited, but felt was too busy & filled with tourists to get a real flavor of Kathmandu.

“Awesomest stay ever”

I was at the hotel Tibet international for Over a week counting the days before my Himalayan trek and the days after it. The staff was absolutely fantastic and catered to my every need. I ate many of my meals in the fantastic restaurant and the food was outstanding! Not to mention the view Of the Boudha Stupa. Unfortunately… My friend and I were unable to leave on time for our hike due to bad weather so we would leave in the morning all packed up ready to go and then end up back at the hotel LOL and they always graciously found a room for us, every day for three days. I enjoyed my stay so much that when I return next year for business I'm bringing 20 people with me and this is where we are staying!
